Customer Review: A Huge Disappointment
I was very disappointed by this product. I expected a lip gloss with an orange-y scent and/or flavor but it is plain. The only "tangerine" element of this lip gloss is the color of the container. Sadly, the overall quality of the lip gloss is poor as well. It is too thick and feels very uncomfortable and unnatural. Even though they don't offer a tangerine or orange flavor, I much prefer the Victoria's Secret line of lip gloss and will stick with them in the future.

Great tanning lotion! I've tried one other, but this product has it over and above! Good smelling, almost immediate darkening. I had read the recommendations to wear gloves during application...great idea! I use surgical gloves and it goes on smooth and thoroughly! I am recommending it to others who are using a skin damaging tanning booth!! Only a little is needed too! I love it! Will I buy it again when I run out? YES! Excellent product! My only problem is I can't take it in my carry on luggage - too many ounces! A+++++
Customer Review: Do not use if you are a male!
I'm not a big self tanner to begin with, but I purchased this product to use as an alternative of sitting out in the sun. While it does give you a VERY natural looking tan, it does come at a price. First, don't apply this in the morning thinking you can just go out about your business an hour later. This stuff is incredibly sticky and also goes on very, very dark. In time it fades to its natural color but that won't happen until the next day, so don't apply this if you have something going on later that night. Secondly, also a plus and a minus, one coat is all you need. No multiple applications are required and I was amazed at how tan my skin was the next day. However, this also comes at a price. Any spots you miss will stand out like night to day. Also, if you don't wash your hands well enough expect to have the dirtiest looking hands imaginable. Now these might be non issues for some, and I must compliment the product on the fact that it does last a good while. However, my biggest issue was apparent a few days into using it. And that is, "you can't use this if you are male". This is because the first time you shave your face all of the tanner will be scrapped off your face do to the fact that shaving is essentially exfoliating the skin. After shaving you WILL look like a clown. Its hard to rip too much into this sunless tanner since these issues are apparent in every tanner out there. If you use sunless tanners successfully than I highly recommend this product. If you are new to use tanners I would suggest using a cheaper product first in order to test how well your daily activities will effect the lotion. If you have problems with the cheaper tanners don't expect this more expensive tanner to be any different. Needless to say, after about a month of using this product, trying different variations to keep a good "tan", I gave up and stopped using it.

Though I absolutely LOVE bareMinerals foundation and Primer, I am NOT in love with the eye kit. I already had brushes and I expected more colors. As it is, I can only use the "Fashionista" shado and it is supposed to be the eyeliner! I use that one as a contour shade because it goes the best with my carmel complexion. Thank goodness I kept my expresso eyeliner! I will use this up because it was expensive but in the future, I will stick with store bought eyeshadow.

I have very thin and light eyebrows. I bought this product after reading other reviews. I am happy with it. It takes a little longer to apply than a pencil, but it is very natural looking. I have used the gel, but I don't find it necessary. If you had a lot of eyebrows, it would probably be useful. I basically just like the powder and brush. I will probably buy it again. I use other Bare Escentuals Products and like them too.

This brush came with the starter kit and the hairs fall out or break and end up all over my clothes. I already find the mineral make up rather messy, and this just adds to the mess. The Body Shop makes much better makeup brushes for about the same price and they are cruelty free (synthetic) and they get top reviews on Amazon. I'm going to buy those instead.

I have had oily skin since I was a child and found that when you have oily skin, eye make-up doesn't stay on long or well at all. This product is absolutely amazing in that even in the hot summer days, there is NO creasing of my make-up on my eyelids. To me, it's a miracle. I have spent so many years trying to control the creasing and having to wash and reapply if I wanted to go out at night that this is amazing! I just wish it was a little cheaper.

I bought this product yesterday from the Bare Escentuals store and it worked so well I just had to write a review! This stuff worked much better than I anticipated! I am amazed at how my eyeshadow is still in place even after sleeping! I always had the problem of my makeup clumping with oil in my crease. Not only did this prevent a crease from forming, but it also preserved the "just applied" look. I will definitely be using this daily especially with this reasonable price.

GOOD KIT, NICE PRODUCT, MINIMAL DIRECTIONS The Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Essential Brow Kit is a good alternative to an eyebrow pencil, especially if you have eyebrows, but they are getting sparce and simply need filling in. However, if you are looking for directions on how to shape your brows, this kit is lacking. THE DIRECTIONS On the back of the box are basic instructions that say to start at the arch of the brow and work outwards. If you can't figure out where the arch is, you're like me and need more detailed directions. Admittedly those directions are around, but not on the back of this box where the application instructions are printed. COLOR CHOICE After reading several reviews on Sephora and Amazon I purchased the dark blonde - medium color kit. I'm glad I did, as brunette would have been way too dark. The photo on Amazon appears too light - not matching the actual color that ships with the kit. I also have auburn highlights in my dark brown hair, but decided I could add BE's Warmth color to my brows to get the hint of auburn if desired. I think the kit is priced a bit high, but it should last a long time and you can purchase brow colors separately without the finishing serum and brush in the kit. Overall, its easier to apply than a pencil and looks more natural. I'm happy with the product.
Customer Review: The perfect eyebrow set
Over the years, I've used just about every eyebrow product available and never found one that I couldn't do without until using this one. The little brush has just the right amount of stiffness to get the powder where you want it. Another reviewer said her eyebrows were sparse; well, mine are also, but after using the powder I use a regular eyebrow brush to get rid of any excess powder and to soften the look. The Brunette is really dark, though, so be aware of that when ordering. Next time I'll get a softer shade---wish they made a taupe.

I absolutely love the colors in this set. I can't say enough how nice they look. However, the brush, which is half the point of buying these kits, just does not work for me. The 'v' side, at least, always manages to go completely off-track and does not look anything like what I imagined I was doing when I started applying the powder. I'm sure it's just me being incompetent, but still. These sets are supposed to be "tutorials"- meaning they are made for the non-expert. I do like the other side of the brush and use it often. Short story- Love the colors, hate the brush. Do with this advice what you will.

I bought this product the moment I found out it existed! I agree with the first reviewer that to get a perfect match you should go and check the colors out in person. However, I purchased it online, and felt that what I received was the color I expected (I ordered Roxanne and on me - fair skin - it is a medium coppery rose.) I love the consistency of this product, it doesn't dry out or feel sticky, and the minty tingle is addictive! It truly is full color, not sheer, and the glossiness adds a dimension to the color, like looking down into a pool, that is probably part of the illusion of fuller lips. I highly recommend trying it, and will definitely be going back for more colors!

I bought the BE starter kit - loved the brushes but hated the entire makeup system. I'm 39 with very good skin for my age, but the powders settle on your imperfections and make you look older. A woman in my office bought it, too, and we are both convinced the poweders excentuate wrinkles. I would not recommend for anyone over 35... but the brushes are nice.

I just bought this kit from Amazon and I do like the colors, brushes, and lip gloss. I have hazel eyes and I feel like the colors really bring out the green in my eyes. The colors can also be worn for a day or evening look. It all depends on how heavy you put on the makeup. The lip gloss is very nice and tingly. I am disappointed by the small size of the containers and the sparkly blush. If I were to buy it all over again I would go Ulta or Sephora to make sure I am happy with what I am getting.

I bought this kit a couple months ago when it first came out. It does not come with a DVD or any sort of intructions, so I just put it on the way I've learned throughout the years. For the eyeshadows, I put the light eyeshadow color all over the lid and the dark eyeshadow just in the crease. Which, I will say that I think the light eyeshadow is TOO light because I can barely tell anything is there at all when I wear it, and then the 'crease' shadow is too dark.. when I wore it, and lightly at that, my 6 year old niece said it looked like black eye shadow. Having said that, I LOVE the powder eyeliner and the brush you use for it. It gives my eyes soft definition and the color works really well with my pale skin tone and auburn hair. Having the liner in powder form, and using that specific brush gives me an effect I've never seen before, and I adore it. It will always be my go-to eyeliner when I want to look my best. The blush.. I feel neutral about the blush. It is quite pink as you can see in the picture, so I always put it on light. But it works. It's what I use when I use blush. I DO really enjoy the lip gloss that comes along with the kit. I think its a very pretty color, Dolly is the name I do believe, and it stays put pretty well without feel heavy or sticky. Overall, it was nice for an inexperienced makeup person like me to have a kit layed out for me with everything I needed, but the eyeshadows aren't something I can use every day, though everything else is. If the eyeshadow colors work for you though, then I'd say definitely go for it.
